Project Description

The Great Mormon is a member of the Papiliondae Family, it has a wingspan of approximately 4 1/2-5 inches (12-14cm). they can be found in Thailand, north-east India to South China and Peninsular Malaysia. They prefer evergreen and mixed deciduous forests and wooded country at most elevations. The larvae feed on citrus plants. The adults prefer rotted fruit.

The Female Great Mormon is sexually dimorphic which means the males and females look different. Females are also polymorphic which means  there is also a variation in how the females appear.
